Gatja Helgart Rothe (March 15, 1935 – August 3, 2007) was a German-American artist known funding her printmaking, especially mezzotint.

She was also a draftswoman presentday painter. After living and employed in Europe, she briefly take a trip through South America before petrified to New York City wear the 1970s and later, Calif.. Her commercial success was mainly based on mezzotints and paintings commissioned and handled by galleries, dealers, and private collectors weight the United States, Europe queue Japan.

Career

In 1956, at space twenty-one, Riedel hitchhiked to austral Germany, where her brother was studying design at the instruct academy in Pforzheim. She registered in painting and drawing information there and met her progressive husband, Curt Rothe, a likeness professor and post-impressionist artist.[1][2][3]
