Circa 1981 - Meets former Lovin' Spoonful producer Erik Jacobsen, who becomes his careerlong producer. 

Circa 1983-4 - After initially being coarse down by the label, Isaak signs a contract with Upright Bros. Records and records jurisdiction first album.
